Just a few words today. Technology behaving but no wi fi in our albergue so I am using the wi fi in the El Plaza bar where we are enjoying late lunch of tapas - Spanish life. Yum!
Late start at 9.45 but with just 19 kms to walk we arrived in Castueras around 2. An easy walk along an old country road. A wonderful new albergue (since 2014) with key and directions from friendly local policia. We have a room and bathroom to ourselves (2 bunk beds) and the French father and son have the same. Washing done and drying in the sunny courtyard.
As I was writing this update the lovely bar owner Antonio has just told us about an alternative route for tomorrow on an older Camino - a gentle path that will take us to our next accommodation by a road even less travelled. An unexpected adventure.Why not?
